Jonathan Ewing – Hall of Fame 2004

JONATHAN EWING – INDUCTED INTO THE BRONCOS HALL OF FAME – 2004

Jonathan originally retired from playing in 2003 after an incredibly successful year which saw the Broncos win two National Titles and compete in an international tournament in Dusseldorf at the NFL Europe World Bowl.
Since then Jonny has coached at club, national and international levels, but has periodically been unable to resist playing with the senior team.

Assistant Cadet Coach for the 2006 GB Lions, Jonathan helped GB to 2nd Place in Euro Flag XII.

Cadet Coach for the 2005 GB Lions, Jonathan helped GB to 3rd Place in Euro Flag XI.

Jonathan was part of the SDS Cadet Coaching Staff at Paisley University Sports Campus.

Coaching – Club Level
Voted SFFA Junior Coach of the Year for the 2006 Season. As SFFA Junior Coach of the Year, Jonathan took charge of the West/Central Junior Squad at 2006 MVP Bowl.

Junior Coach, Jonathan helped the Broncos become 2006 Scottish Champions

As Interim Cadet Coach, Jonathan helped guide the Broncos to 2006 SFFA West/Central conference 3rd Place.

Voted SFFA Cadet Coach of the Year for the 2005 Season. As Coach of the Year, Jonathan took charge of the North/East Cadet Conference team at 2005 MVP Bowl, which they won.

SCOTTISH SCHOOLS FINALS – 2005
Jonathan was Coach of the St Mungos Mustangs Squad which won the 2005 West / Central Scottish Schools Qualifier.
The Mustangs lost in the Semi-Finals of the UK Schools Final

Coach of the 2003 Broncos Cadets who won the North / East Conference and only narrowly missed out on being Scottish Champions.

Playing – Youth Flag:-
Jonathan was part of the 2005 Youth Squad which finished 3rd in the SFFA North/East Conference.
Selected for 2004 Team Scotland at Youth level for international v England – Scotland 27 England 0

Jonathan was part of the Junior Squad which won the 2003 SFFA North/East Conference League and were SFFA Scottish League Champions.

PLAYED FOR GB LIONS AGAINST REST OF EUROPE – September 2002

Jonathan was part of the 2002 Mid Squad which won the Claymores Bowl III and the NFL UK Flag Football Championship.
Also Winners of  Channel Five National Trophy in Sheffield.
2002 NFL European Flag Football Championships 7th place.

SFFA SEASON – 2001 / 2002 Runners-Up in the Central Conference League
Winners of the Claymores NFL Kick-Off Weekend Trophy.
Runners-Up in the Independence Bowl held in Dundee.

Selected for Great Britain team for EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN FRANCE – 2001
Selected for SCOTLAND to play England July 2001 – Scotland 44 England 38.

2004 FALKIRK DISTRICT SPORTS COUNCIL AWARDS –
Jonathan shared the ‘New Coach of the Year’ Award … with fellow Bronco Adam Donaldson.

2003 FALKIRK DISTRICT SPORTS COUNCIL AWARDS –
Scroll Award for his contribution to Scottish and GB Flag Football.
2003 Runner-Up Trophy in the Individual Junior (Under 18) Category.

2002 FALKIRK DISTRICT SPORTS COUNCIL SCROLL AWARD –
Scroll Award to recognise his achievements in representing both his Club and his Country, as part of the GB Squad
Jonathan was also part of the Mid Squad that received recognition by the Council for winning the Scottish, GB and Channel 5 titles … the first clean sweep of all the major titles by a Club from Scotland.

SCHOOL AWARD – 2001
Following on from his trip to the South of France with the GB Squad, Johnny had his sporting achievement recognised by his school. Johnny has received ‘The Roy Northam Award for Sporting Exellence’.
