Final Regular Season Games

The Broncos closed out the regular season today with two good wins to take them to a 12 wins and 1 loss record, Division Champions for the third season in a row and Second seed in the HNC.
In the first game of the day the West Lothian Chargers beat the home team Mid Lothian Sabers 58 – 26. The Chargers will be playing in the post season for the first time.
The Sabers then went on to play against the Broncos. While the Sabers were already consigned to last place in the division, the rookie team have improved throughout the season, so the Broncos were not surprised to find themselves only 7 points in front approaching the first half two minute warning. However, as the game progressed the Broncos kept their composure and eventually pulled out to a 76 – 0 win. A big part of that would be the seven TDs and 5 XPs from Kevin Woods (47 points).
In the final game, the Broncos faced the Chargers who would be looking to avenge the 76 – 0 loss from the first game day of the season. While the scoreline may not reflect it this was a close game, but the Broncos closed it out 53 – 26.
