Game Day #1 Recap

The Broncos posted three excelent wins in the HNC South today.
In the first game the Broncos played the newly rebranded West Lotian Chargers. In the past the Broncos have had to deal with being slow starters, but that certainly wsn’t the case today. By half time the Broncos were cruising. Everything was clicking into place whereas, the Chargers seemed like they needed another game to get warmed up.

Scoring Stats were:-
Fraser Thomson 4 passes for TDs 8 for XPs, one running TD and 2 Pick-Sixes (3 interceptions total).
Scott McKenzie 2 passes for TDS and 2 for XPs, one receiving TD and 3 XPs

That shoul all add up to 76 points to nil.

The Broncos then Refereed the second game where the Chargers beat the Outlaws in a bit of a shock result 18 – 15.
In the third fixture, the Broncos faced the Carnegie Thunder who included former Broncos Josh and Scott Keir in their line-up.

Again the Broncos came out of the blocks fast and only suffered a slight hiccup when the Thunder scored a touchdown. In one unfortunate period for the Thunder the Bronos returned three pick sixes in a row. The scoring

Scott McKenzie passing for 2 TDs and receiving 1 XP pass.
Fraser Thomson passing for 2 TDs and 5 XPs and one pick-six (3 total Ints)

Kevin Woods 1 receiving XP, 1 Pick-six
Andy Brown 1 receiving XP, 1 Pick-six (2 ints total)
Mathew Ross 1 receiving XP
Callum Woods 2 receiving TDs
Daniel McGill 1 sack
Scott Keir passed to Fraser Reid for the Thunder score.
That should all add up to 53 points to 6.

The Broncos were then straight on against the Outlaws. This was always going to be the toughest game, with the history between the teams and the fact that the Broncos were into their third game.
The score remained at 0 – 0 for a good part of the first half, but once the Broncos finally broke the deadlock they quickly scored 3 touchdowns and had the ball first in the second half. They never really looked back from there.

Scott McKenzie 1 receiving TD.
The passer and receiver on the 2 XPs we scored were not recorded.
