Sponsorship Deal with the Canalside

Last Sunday, while some of the Grangemouth Flag Football Club’s Broncos and Colts players were enjoying their regular weekly banter in front of NFL Red-Zone at the Canalside, they were presented with a sponsorship cheque by Canalside manager, Emma Prior.
The money will be used to help pay for the cost of the club’s home venue at Whitecross and the purchase of new kit for the new Colts team. The Colts Kit will include a Canalside logo in the back of the shirt.
Club Chairman Jimmy Thomson was presented with the cheque while showing off the prototype of the new kit. He explained the significance of the sponsorship for the club.
“In the past, the Broncos team has managed year to year with a minimal budget. However, with the recent expansion of the club, both in terms of numbers and reputation, we have had to become more responsible in the way we operate.”
“Our first step along those lines was our agreemant with Falkirk Community Trust for the use of our home venue at Whitecross. That has given us the regular use of changing, showers and separate facilities for female players and spectators.”
“In addition, because of the increased number of players we have made the decision to start a new team within the club. That meant we had to commit to buying a whole new set of kit.”
“All of that comes at a cost. While the players have all agreed to the increased cost for playing, with the sponsorship deal we have the cash to start paying for these things now, rather than muddling through, or getting the Club into debt.”
“Everyone at the Club, both Broncos and Colts players, as well as friends and family would like to thank the Canalside for their generosity.”
